Anyone Can Support Recovery. Anyone.
Celebrate and Support Recovery in All Its Forms.
Let’s Put #Recovery Front and Center.
Recovery Month , which started in 1989, is a national observance held every September to promote and support those in recovery, in all its forms. In the years since Recovery Month launched, the PAStop initiatives and other efforts by statewide coalitions, PCCD, DDAP and SAMHSA have collaborated with private and public entities to celebrate individuals during their long-term recoveries.
To address the nation’s continuing crisis of substance misuse and overdose deaths, PAStop and the Commonwealth Prevention Alliance are promoting initiatives that support evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and community members across the state who make recovery possible.
Watch our short films that showcase what employers, faith-based communities and others are doing to support Recovery in their own ways, in their own communities.
